Susan HornbySusan Hornby has worked for the Department of Information and Communications at Manchester Metropolitan University since 1990. Her teaching and research interests are the education of information professionals, aspects of the politics and sociology of information, information in the health services, knowledge management and literature and its readers.
Her publications include peer-reviewed papers in the areas of the information society, education for the professional information worker and information for health and knowledge management. She is coauthor of Simple Statistics for Library and Information Professionals (LA Publishing, 1997) and co-editor of Challenge and Change in the Information Society (Facet Publishing, 2002). Susan has served as a member of the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) Benchmarking Panel for Librarianship and Information Management.
